DTF printing places a CMYK colour layer over a white-ink underbase on transfer film, covers it with hot-melt adhesive powder and cures it, then heat-presses the transfer onto the garment. Because of the white underbase, detail stays clean on both light and dark garments.

We don't run every fabric on the same settings. Temperature, pressure and dwell time are adjusted for cotton, polyester, blends and canvas, and unusual or coated substrates are test-pressed before production.

Preparing your artwork

  • High resolution at the size you want printed
  • Transparent background where possible (e.g. PNG), or vector / PDF
  • Tell us the print position and approximate size
  • We check every file before production

Fabric check & testing

Heat settings are adjusted per fabric. Special, heat-sensitive or coated garments, and dark polyester, are test-pressed first to reduce colour shift, cracking and poor adhesion.

Questions

What is DTF printing?

Direct-to-film: the design is printed onto film with a white underbase, coated with adhesive powder, cured and heat-pressed onto the garment.

Can DTF print on polyester or sportswear?

Often yes, but polyester and dark synthetic fabrics can show dye migration. We check the fabric first and test-press special, heat-sensitive or coated garments before production.

Is there a minimum order?

No — DTF orders start from 1 piece.
